LU maps and suffixs - Regions - Heights
![]()
In Argentina, the call sign SUFFIX means from wich province is the Ham station.-
The first letter after the number (LU1YT) is the only that should be considered with two exeptions: when you have "G" and "X", the second letter after the number, separates CHACO (GA to GO) from FORMOSA (GP to GZ) and SANTA CRUZ (XA to XO) from TIERRA DEL FUEGO (XP to XZ).-
As you see it in the map: "A", "B" and "C" letters are for Buenos Aires Capital City.- "D" and "E" are for cities in Buenos Aires province.- "F" is Santa Fé.- "GA" to "GO" is Chaco.- "GP" to "GZ" is Formosa.- "H" is Córdoba.- "I" is Misiones.- "J" is Entre Rios.- "K" is Tucumán.- "L" is Corrientes.- "M" is Mendoza.- "N" is Santiago del Estero.- "O" is Salta.- "P" is San Juan.- "Q" is San Luis.- "R" is Catamarca.- "S" is La Rioja.- "T" is Jujuy.- "U" is La Pampa.- "V" is Rio Negro.- "W" isChubut.- "XA" to "XO" is Santa Cruz.- "XP" to "XZ" is Tierra del Fuego.- "Y" is Neuquén and "Z" is for Antartida and South Atlantic Islands.-
You need to work and confirm all of them to get the "T.R.A." award.-

My QTH:

In the maps below you can see the different regions in wich Argentina is divided - There it is the "PATAGONIA", in the "south part of South America - The end of the earth...".- The map on the right side shows the different heights from the Atlantic Ocean coast to the "Cordillera de los Andes" (Andes mountains).-
